The actress and longtime Chanel collaborator turned to the French luxury fashion house’s 2027 cruise collection for her London look. Designed by Matthieu Blazy — his first cruise collection since joining Chanel as the maison’s creative director in December 2024 — the dress paired rich texture with a streamlined silhouette.

Qualley wore a black midi dress with a V-shaped neckline and short sleeves. Small circular motifs covered the fabric, arranged in strings and tassels that lent the look a textural edge. Though delicate, the dress had a distinctly dark and subdued effect.

Qualley accessorized paired the dress with Chanel jewelry, including a pair of Coromandel high jewelry Vol Suspendu earrings and a N5 drop ring. She also wore Chanel’s heel-cap “shoes” which were spotlighted in the 2027 cruise collection. Qualley’s look was curated by stylist Danielle Goldberg.

Blazy’s inaugural Chanel cruise collection made its runway debut in April 2026, held in the seaside town of Biarritz, which holds a special significance to label founder Gabrielle “Coco” Chanel as the site of her first couture house.

“Blazy, who’s been coming to Biarritz since he was a kid, made a natural connection with one of his personal obsessions: mermaids. Model Noor Khan starred as a sea creature in the charming black-and-white teaser film for the show, and closed the display in a turquoise sequined gown with a fishtail hem,” Joelle Diderich wrote in WWD’s review of the collection.

“It was one of several whimsical looks in the collection, but at its root, this was an homage to the streamlined style codes that Chanel established in the 1920s, borrowing from sportswear, workwear and sailors’ uniforms.”
