A man and a woman were taken to hospital after an attack in Stokes Croft.
Police say the two were assaulted in Stokes Croft between 3.50-4.05am on Friday, August 14.
They were taken to hospital with injuries which are not believed to be serious.
They have since been discharged to continue their recovery at home.
Avon and Somerset Police has shared a photo of a man officers believe may be able to help their investigation into the assault.
The man in the image is described as white, between 30 and 40 years old, who is wearing a black jacket and a flat cap.
