Transport for London (TfL) is planning to introduce a new night bus service called the N118. The bus would run between Trafalgar Square and Ruislip, going through parts of Harrow including Sudbury Hill, Harrow Road, and South Ruislip.
The N118 would run every 30 minutes on weeknights and every 15 minutes on weekend nights.
At the same time, TfL wants to stop the weekend-only night service on the 114 route, which ran between Ruislip and Mill Hill Broadway. That service was stopped in March 2020 during the pandemic and has not run since. TfL says passenger numbers were low even before the pandemic, and the route is no longer needed.
The new N118 route would follow part of the N18 route between Trafalgar Square and Sudbury & Harrow Road Station. TfL is also planning to change the N18 route by removing the section that goes to Sudbury & Harrow Road Station. Instead, the N118 would cover this part.
This means there would still be a regular night service along Harrow Road, with buses every 7 to 8 minutes between Trafalgar Square and Sudbury.

TfL says the N118 would give people in Harrow better access to night buses and help people get to and from central London, Wembley, and other key areas. It would also bring back a night service to places like Ruislip, South Ruislip, and Northolt Park, which currently don’t have one.
This new plan replaces a previous proposal for a night bus called the N518, which TfL dropped after feedback from the public. The new route has been changed to better serve areas like Harrow Road and Greenford Road.
TfL wants to hear from the public before making a final decision. You can give your views before Sunday 29 June 2025.
