The first glimpse of how this year’s Bristol Christmas Market in Broadmead will look has been released – and there are some exciting new attractions.
A planning application has been submitted for the festive favourite in the pedestrianised part of the city’s Shopping Quarter, which will take place from November 6 to December 23.
A new “Umbrella Bar” with a giant parasol canopy will take pride of place at the start, nearest Cabot Circus where the large wooden cider bar was in 2024, while a Christmas tree fairground ride, next to a revamped version of the Jäger Barn Bar, will thrill youngsters who sit inside giant baubles as they spin around.
A series of new hot-air balloon-themed seats where people can eat and drink will be installed in that area, and the ever-popular Yorkshire Pudding Wrap hut is having a second storey added to it.

There will also be the return of the 15m-high ferris wheel, Father Christmas train ride and dozens of food outlets and unique stalls selling gifts and crafts.
