Although it was difficult to get a full picture of Catherine’s Sunday best, it appears the mother-of-three donned a new pie-crust collar blouse by trusted country outfitter Jade Holland Cooper, which she layered under a tweed blazer. The outfit was topped with a favourite chocolate brown hat by Lock & Co.
But it was her earrings that were particularly eye-catching. The Princess of Wales added a fashionable flair to the look with a pair of stone chandelier earrings by Lauren by Ralph Lauren. The accessories, which glinted in the late-summer sun, are from a previous season, suggesting they might have been in Catherine’s wardrobe for some time but only worn in public for the first time yesterday.

It marks the first time the Prince and Princess of Wales have been spotted since it was announced the Duke and Duchess of Sussex are moving back to the UK with their children, Prince Archie and Princess Lilibet. The couple, who moved to the US six years ago, will remain non-working royals, meaning they will not undertake official duties on behalf of the Crown. However there is every chance they could be invited to join the King and Queen for private occasions like the annual summer holiday in Balmoral.

As for many families, summer is a time for the Waleses to spend quality time together. The Wimbledon Men’s Singles Final typically represents the Princess of Wales’ final engagement before the summer break, although this year royal watchers were treated by a whole-family appearance at the Commonwealth Games in Glasgow.
It is a particularly important summer for the family as Prince George prepares to start at Eton this September. The 13-year-old previously attended Lambrook School, Windsor, alongside his brother and sister but will now follow in the footsteps of his father and uncle, Prince Harry, at the prestigious all-boys boarding school.
Although details of the Prince and Princess of Wales’ summer holidays are, understandably, kept under wraps, they typically involve an overseas trip. Last year, it was reported the family had spent time on a yacht off the Greek island of Kefalonia in a sun-soaked escape alongside the Princess’ parents, Michael and Carole Middleton.
