BRISTOL, Va. – Update:
The VSP announced that it had identified the two woman that were killed following a barricade situation in Bristol on Sunday.
The victims have been identified as 54-year-old Brenda Tackett and 35-year-old Andrea Mallory. VSP says charges against Megginson from VSP are pending.
The incident remains under investigation.

A man was arrested following a shooting incident in Bristol that left two people dead, Bristol Virginia Police Department said.
BVPD said they received a call around 2:40 a.m. on Sunday regarding a man with a gun at the Extended Stay America Suites on Salem Drive. Upon arrival, officers found two people with apparent gunshot wounds. They were pronounced dead at the scene.
Authorities said that while in the parking lot, they were fired at from a room at the hotel. Officers returned fire, although they believe he was not struck in this instance.

The police department said the suspect was then taken into custody around 9:04 a.m. on Sunday. He was identified as 47-year-old Antoine A. Megginson. He was charged with one count of Felony Attempted Murder of a Law Enforcement Officer, and more charges are expected.
Megginson was taken to a local medical facility for evaluation, and the Virginia State Police will be leading the remainder of this investigation with assistance from BVPD investigators.
