An emergency incident in Airdrie has seen a major police and ambulance response this evening (August 25). Officers and paramedics descended on Varnsdorf Way in Airdrie shortly before 8.40pm.
The exact nature of the incident and whether any injuries were sustained has not been confirmed.

Officers can be seen tending to the scene, with traffic blocked from passing through the area.
