As Linda continues to focus on local community events, things go wrong for her when her bingo afternoon is thrown into chaos by a power cut.
Luckily, councillor Clive Masters shows up in time to save the day, and Linda is rather impressed by his heroic endeavours.
While Linda and Clive have been taking things slowly, Linda finally agrees to another date. But though love might be in the air, it soon becomes clear that there is still unfinished business between her and Max…
“Linda faces a huge parenting challenge when Ollie is nervous on his first day of secondary school,” explains our source.
“Max is her knight in shining armour, helping her to get through to her struggling son, and they share a poignant moment. We all know that with Linda and Max, it’s never off the table!”

Linda is intent on moving on with dashing Clive, but is stopped in her tracks when Kim Fox reveals that Max has played a key role in the effort to save the community centre.
Sure enough, Clive confirms that the centre is secure for the foreseeable future, and Linda is left with much to think about.
Has Linda realised that her heart truly lies with Max? And how will this affect the build-up to Linda’s departure?
EastEnders bosses recently announced that Kellie Bright, who plays Linda, has decided to leave the BBC soap after 13 years.

In a statement released earlier this month, she said: “I have absolutely loved being part of the show, but I have decided that it is now the right time for me to say goodbye.
“I will miss my friends and colleagues hugely, but I am looking forward to my next chapter and spending more time with my wonderful boys.”
EastEnders’ executive producer Ben Wadey added: “When Kellie told us of her decision last year to leave, we already had big plans for Linda, so we were delighted that Kellie agreed to stay on to see them through.
“We’ve still got a long way to go before we say goodbye, but I can promise that Kellie’s exit storyline will be full of unmissable drama.”
EastEnders airs on Mondays-Thursdays at 7.30pm on BBC One. The show also streams on BBC iPlayer, where most episodes drop early at 6am ahead of their TV broadcast.
