A teenager killed on a Bury street last night has been named as a murder investigation continues.
Officers have been on Porritt Street and Thrush Drive since 8.10pm on Monday night (May 19).
Police were called out to reports of a collision involving a car and a pedestrian on Porritt Street.
The pedestrian, a 19-year-old man, tragically died at the scene while a man in his 30s has been arrested on suspicion of murder.
The victim has now been named locally as Brandon Kershaw and pictured for the first time.
Close friends have left flowers and tributes for Brandon at the scene today (Tuesday) while forensics investigators worked nearby.

Rochdale Coroner’s Court confirmed it had received a file for Brandon.
In a statement issued overnight, Greater Manchester Police said the teenager’s family had been informed and was being supported by officers.
Manchester Evening News readers have paid tribute to Brandon on Facebook, with several writing ‘rest in peace Brandon’.
One person commented: “So sad taken so young RIP Brandon xx”

Another said: “RIP Brandon thinking of you and all your family and friends. Love to you all.”
A cordon remains in place at the scene this afternoon while the suspect is in custody for questioning.
St Paul’s CE Primary School, on Porritt Street, has been closed today with the cordon surrounding the building.
Parts of Hoyles Park have also been taped off, while a blue forensic tent is in place at the scene.

Anyone with information about the incident is being urged to come forward to GMP.
In a statement issued overnight, Detective Superintendent Wesley Knights said: “Firstly, I would like to express my deepest condolences to the family of the deceased during this incredibly difficult time.
“This is a truly tragic incident which has seen a young man lose his life, I would like to reassure the public that this is a targeted attack and there is no wider threat to the community.
“Local officers will remain in the area making enquiries, as well as an increased number of highly visible patrols overnight and into Tuesday. If you have any concerns, please speak to them.
