Singapore is the first official market in Southeast Asia to sell Meta Quest 3 and 3S headsets
Great news for folks who want a high-fidelity, immersive mixed-reality headset. Meta (the owner of Facebook, Instagram, WhatsApp, and many other services) has announced that the Meta Quest 3 and Meta Quest 3S are officially available in Singapore.
You can find them both on the official Singapore online store of Meta. The Meta Quest 3 comes in one 512GB variant at S$720. The Meta Quest 3S strips some features, but in favour of a lower price at S$440 (128GB) and S$580 (256GB).
What is the Meta Quest 3 and Quest 3S good for?
Many things, especially if you enjoy a mostly hands-free experience and an uninterrupted display following you around the house while you’re busy.
The Meta Quest 3 is a mixed reality headset that lets you play your favourite streaming apps (think YouTube, Amazon Prime Video, Twitch) while being powerful enough to handle fitness and gaming experiences via its handheld controls (yes, you can even link to your Steam gaming backlog and play, too). As a Meta product, it’s also compatible with Facebook, Instagram, and WhatsApp, adding to its viewing privacy since its all enclosed within the headset.
Meta Quest 3S is the more affordable alternative that strips some of its overpowered specs in favour of a lower price tag. You get 1,832 x 1,920 pixels per eye instead of the Quest 3’s 2,064 x 2,208 pixels resolution (30% more pixels). However, you still get access to 120Hz refresh rates on both devices.
As Meta products, they are compatible with Facebook, Instagram, and WhatsApp, adding to their viewing privacy since they are all enclosed within the headset.
