Former Manchester United chief scout Mick Brown believes Everton and Newcastle United are keen on signing Joshua Zirzkee.

Speaking to Football Insider, Brown said: “There are a number of Premier League clubs interested in signing Zirkzee. He’s got all the attributes to be a success somewhere, because he’s a willing runner, he works hard, he’s got plenty of ability, he just hasn’t got going at Man United.

“But even when he has a bad game, the thing that stands out to me is that he never lets his head drop and never stops working hard. That will make him an ideal player for a lot of clubs, and I’m sure they will have been impressed by what they’ve seen from him, even if he’s not part of the plans at Man United.

“When you look through the clubs in the Premier League, there are a few who could do with a new striker before the window closes. Everton and Newcastle are two of those clubs, and I believe they will have been watching Zirkzee and keeping a close eye on whether or not he becomes available.

“With Man United now open to him leaving, I expect they will be among a few clubs looking to sign him before the end of the window.”
