Wirral drug dealer jailed after police seize almost 200 wraps of crack cocaine
A drug dealer from Wirral has been jailed for five and a half years after officers arrested him in Seacombe and seized almost 200 wraps of crack cocaine linked to a County Lines drug operation.
On 25 June, officers arrested Jordan Edge, 28, as he left a flat in Seacombe. He was found in possession of a ‘graft’ phone and cannabis, while a further search uncovered 12 wraps of crack cocaine hidden in his underwear. A subsequent search of his home address led to the recovery of a further 184 wraps of crack cocaine.
Man charged after assault in Rock Ferry
Wirral detectives have arrested and charged a man with Section 18 assault following an incident in Rock Ferry last weekend.
At around 10.05pm on Saturday, 22 August, emergency services were called to The Bedford -“Lukes” public house, Bedford Road, to reports of a man being assaulted.

Click Me Appeal for witnesses after fly-tipping incident in Storeton
Environmental enforcement officers from Wirral Council are appealing for the public’s help as they investigate an irresponsible, large-scale fly-tipping incident that occurred over the weekend.
The fly-tipping was reported late on Saturday night after a resident drove down Red Hill Road in Storeton and had to take evasive action to avoid a more serious collision with some of the waste that had been dumped on the lane.
Four more teenagers arrested after stabbing in Heswall
Merseyside Police arrested a further four males on Thursday, 27 August, following reports of a stabbing in Heswall on Saturday 4 July.
At around 6.35pm, officers were called to Heswall Bus Station on Telegraph Road to reports of a fight involving youths.
Man jailed for 14 years after Birkenhead family robbed at knifepoint
A man has been jailed for 14 years following a robbery in Birkenhead in which the occupants of a property were threatened with a knife.
Officers were called at 12.20am on Wednesday, 26 January 2022, after reports that a number of males wearing balaclavas had entered a property on Borough Road.
Wallasey builder accused of scamming woman for works pleads not guilty
A Wirral builder accused of fraudulently scamming his neighbour out of hundreds of thousands of pounds worth of work has pleaded not guilty to all counts. William Harrington, of Linksway in Wallasey appeared before Liverpool Crown Court this morning.
He faces multiple charges brought by Wirral Council on behalf of a neighbour, Helen McGee. Harrington is charged with having committed fraud in that he “dishonestly made a false representation” relating to a quote for home improvement works and oral representations relating to such works.
Man charged with burglary in Tranmere
Detectives have charged a man in connection with a burglary in Tranmere earlier this month. At around 9.15am on Tuesday, 18 August, a burglary occurred at a home on Raffles Road, in which tools were stolen.
Following enquiries, a man was arrested. Daniel New, 36, of Woodchurch Road, has been charged with burglary and appeared at Wirral Adult Remand Court on Friday, 28 August.
