The Witcher 3 Remastered Accessibility Options

A number of accessibility options are being added in The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt Remastered, and now, thanks to developer CD Projekt Red’s continued Gamescom livestreams (as screenshotted on Reddit), we know what’s included.

In a nutshell, these new settings are designed to remove much of the game’s friction, while also giving players the ability to ignore some of The Witcher 3’s more… tedious mechanics.

Each setting can be toggled on and off individually, so you can customise the experience to your liking. What’s more, CDPR says that enabling accessibility options won’t stop you from earning Trophies.

Here are the options that were shown live on stream, via the remaster’s new ‘Accessibility’ tab in the main menu:

  • Vitality Regeneration Boost (you can freely adjust how much health Geralt regenerates and how quickly it happens)
  • Infinite Breath (when underwater, traversing poisonous gas, or in an area with smoke)
  • Unlimited Item Durability
  • Unlimited Boat Durability
  • Ignore Items’ Weight
  • Auto Loot Corpses

As someone who’s played through The Witcher 3 way too many times, the item durability and auto loot toggles sound like a great idea. It’s just less faffing about in general.

And while the game already features an easy difficulty setting, the health regen stuff should allow less experienced players to progress at their own pace.

Will you be making use of these accessibility toggles at all? Never bother to repair your swords again in the comments section below.
