FC Heidenheim have officially confirmed the signing of highly rated Hoffenheim striker Alessandro Vogt on loan for the remainder of the 2026/27 season. The 21-year-old moves to the relegated 2. Bundesliga outfit in search of regular first-team football after finding himself caught in a crowded attacking department at Hoffenheim. Transfermarkt reports that Heidenheim will pay a €250,000 loan fee.
Vogt only joined Hoffenheim from FC St. Gallen earlier this summer for a reported €2.7m fee.
The Swiss U21 international arrives at Heidenheim following the €3m departure of Marvin Pieringer to newly promoted Bundesliga side SC Paderborn. The Ostalbenschwaben moved quickly to replace one of their established centre-forwards with one of the most highly rated young attackers in the German second tier.

Vogt earned his Bundesliga transfer following an outstanding breakthrough campaign with St. Gallen. The striker registered 18 goals and five assists across league and cup competition last season. His immediate pathway at Hoffenheim nevertheless became complicated by the club’s existing attacking depth. Fisnik Asllani ultimately remained at the club following the collapse of his proposed move to RB Leipzig, while Max Moerstedt, Adam Hložek and Tim Lemperle also remain available through the middle. Vogt consequently did not feature competitively for Hoffenheim before the clubs agreed that a temporary move represented the best developmental step.

FC Heidenheim is the perfect intermediate step for me to prove myself in German professional football,” Vogt noted in the club statement. “I definitely want to use my time at FCH to get plenty of playing time in the 2. Bundesliga and score goals.”
