Huawei Watch D3‘s features have started emerging ahead of the September 2 launch event, and one such is a smarter BP monitoring capability. The firm has showcased the new medical smartwatch at the European Society of Cardiology (ESC) Congress 2026.
ESC Congress is one of the world’s top academic gatherings in cardiovascular medicine. The meeting was held today, where Huawei presented Watch D3’s smarter BP monitoring before the new product’s global launch conference.
Watch D3 features a refined and more accurate blood pressure measurement at elevated heart rates. As per Huawei, the new wearable can precisely record blood pressure data before and after exercise and provide recommendations for exercise intensity.
The third-generation ambulatory BP monitoring also offers cardiovascular response and automated reminders to take readings during sudden environmental shifts like changes in high altitudes or rapid temperature drops.
European Union Medical Device Regulation (CE MDR) has certified the Watch D3 for single-point blood pressure checks, continuous ambulatory monitoring, and pre- or post-exercise measurements.
Other features include an advanced Health Glance capability. It looks after health data, studies relevant metrics, and improves sleep + emotional wellbeing tracking.
The tech giant hasn’t disclosed all specifics or features of the Watch D3 yet. Though it shared an early glimpse of the device at the ESC Congress 2026 event. Other details will go official at the scheduled launch timeline.
Huawei unveiled its first BP-measuring smartwatch in 2021 – Watch D. It debuted with a bulky appearance paired with medical-level blood pressure monitoring. The company upgraded the device after three years with 24-hour BP measurement.
