The design draws on medieval art and illuminated manuscripts, as well as discoveries made during the redevelopment of the building.
Hand-painted murals created by artist Lynsey Jean Henderson and family artist collective The Marangerie feature throughout the suite.

The space has been designed to offer an experience for families, groups of friends and couples, blending historic details with playful touches.
It includes a starlit attic retreat, twin beds and a daybed that can be converted into a third single bed.

The suite can accommodate up to two adults and three children, or four adults.
Other features include a movie wall, reading nook and views over Victoria Street.

The suite is also pet-friendly.
Virgin Hotels Edinburgh is located within Edinburgh’s UNESCO World Heritage Site and includes 222 chambers and suites, alongside dining venues and preserved historic features.

“Our Artist in Residence programme has been such an important part of connecting the hotel with the local creative community, and Lynsey’s work has brought that vision to life beautifully.”
