Police Scotland have sealed off a section of Strother’s Lane in Inverness city centre.
Activity seems to be concentrated on one doorway that is believed to be the entrance to flats, some of which are thought to be short-term lets.

The doorway which is the centre of activity on Strothers Lane.
The area between Academy Street and a walkway connecting to Margaret Street has been shut-off by officers.
A police van is parked next to the Academy Street end of the cordon and a police car is situated just short of the other cordon.
Only a small section of the lane was sealed off.
Uniformed officers are in the area while Inverness BID security are also helping keep pedestrians.
There have confirmed reports of an alleged knife attack.
A spokesperson for Police Scotland said: “Strother’s Lane in Inverness is closed due to a report of a person found injured around 3.40pm on Wednesday, September 2.
“Emergency services are in attendance, and the public is asked to avoid the area.”
