Voting is now open for our first Player of the Month poll of the 2026/27 season – but which of the four contenders will you opt for?

We kicked off the month by lifting the Community Shield with a 3-0 victory over Manchester City, before following that up with a 3-0 win over Coventry and 1-0 win at Aston Villa to ensure we started the season in perfect fashion.

Four contenders have been selected for the first prize of the campaign. Here are the candidates for you to choose from!

RICCARDO CALAFIORI

What a start to the season Riccardo Calafiori is having.

The full-back got our campaign off to the perfect start when he netted in the Community Shield against Manchester City in under 60 seconds.

Since then, Cala has helped us keep three clean sheets in a row as well as providing assists for Kai Havertz against Coventry and Bukayo Saka at Aston Villa.

August has proven to be a productive month for Cala since his move from Bologna, with his last five Premier League goal involvements for us having all been in the opening two games of the season in 25/26 and 26/27.

BUKAYO SAKA

Having ended the 25/26 strongly, Bukayo Saka has picked up where he left off.

After some positive minutes in the Community Shield triumph over Manchester City, Bukayo started and scored in our 3-0 victory over Coventry at Emirates Stadium.

Our English winger followed that up with the decisive goal in our 1-0 victory over Aston Villa at Villa Park to keep up perfect going into September.

KAI HAVERTZ

Martin Odegaard has led by example in August.

The skipper has started all three matches after a fantastic World Cup with Norway, showing his creative spark in our three successes.

Martin helped create our second goal against Manchester City in Cardiff, but before bagging one himself, he wrong-footed Gianluigi Donnarumma to slot into the corner.

Our captain then linked up well with Bukayo Saka and Ben White to net his first Premier League goal since December 2025 in our 3-0 opener against Coventry.

GABRIEL

Big Gabi marked six years as a Gunner on September 1, and he’s once again showing why we brought him to Emirates Stadium back in 2020.

The Brazilian has slotted back into club life seamlessly this season, playing every minute in our first three outings.

In those three outings, we’ve kept three clean sheets to help pick up the first piece of silverware of the campaign plus two wins from two as Premier League reigning champions.
