Aldi is adding a new winter range for pets to its middle aisle in days, with products starting from under £2.50. The German supermarket retailer, which has more than 1,000 stores across the UK, is bringing its Essential Winter Pet collection to the Specialbuys sections of stores as we move from summer to the colder months of autumn and winter.
Aldi says the collection “offers ultimate comfort with cosy beds and throws for both cats and dogs, alongside road-trip accessories”. The range includes outerwear options, like the Dog Raincoat (£9.99, X-X), which comes in forest green or beige. You can also pick up Aldi’s Dog Bomber Jacket (from £6.99, XS-XL), in beige or navy. Other products include the Dog Collar or Leash (£6.99) in grey or beige, and a selection of bedding and blanket products.
Among them is the Comfy Pet Bed (from £12.99, S-XL), which is said to be good for both cats and dogs and “is made to suit any interior, with a long or short faux fur plush texture in forest green, grey and beige”.
There’s also a matching plush Faux Fur Pet Blanket (£9.99) and the Novelty Pet Bed (£9.99), which is available in a variety of styles including mushroom, tree trunk, pumpkin and acorn.
They’ll also be stocking interactive toys for your pet to play as the colder, darker nights set in, like the Automatic Pet Ball (£3.99), available in beige and navy, or the Dog Snuffle Plush Toy (£3.99), available in donut rope, croissant or mushroom shapes.
Prices start from just £2.49 for Catnip Ball Toy, up to £24.99 for the extra large Comfy Pet Bed.
The Essential Winter Pet range will hit shelves on Thursday, September 10. Aldi notes that as with all Specialbuys they will only be available while stocks last.
