Residents and members of community groups from across Marlow came together for a photoshoot at Basement Photographic in Bourne End on August 19 for the Marlow Community Against Cancer calendar.
Participants included members of Marlow Football Club, Bridge Hydro, Marlow Town Band and the Marlow Mermaids, among other local groups.
The calendar is being produced to raise money for The Cancer Treatment and Research Trust.
The fundraising initiative was launched by Chris and Helen after Chris was diagnosed with Stage 4 lung cancer in 2025.
They have said the project was inspired by the spirit of Calendar Girls and their determination not to let cancer define those affected by it.
Although behind-the-scenes photographs from the shoot have been released, the finished calendar images remain under wraps ahead of the launch.
Photographer Mark Anthony Saul captured the images for the calendar during the photoshoot, while two students from Buckinghamshire New University provided hair and make-up support on the day.
Chris and Helen are also hoping to exhibit the photographs in Marlow, with a silent auction and raffle also being planned.
The aim of the project is to turn the calendar into something that provides meaningful support for people and families affected by cancer.
Future plans include a launch event and the premiere of a film made during the photoshoot.
The calendar is expected to go on sale in October through the project’s website, with organisers also keen for copies to be stocked in local shops across the area.
