BIRMINGHAM, Ala. (WIAT) — A man was arrested in connection to a fatal shooting that happened in Birmingham around midnight Monday.

According to the Birmingham Police Department, Timothy Antonio Moorer, 30, is charged with intentional murder in relation to 31-year-old Literrance Leon Bratton’s death. Both men lived in Birmingham.

The BPD stated officers were dispatched to the 2700 block of 30th Street Ensley late Sunday night on a call that person was shot there. At the scene, they found Bratton suffering from a gunshot wound. Bratton was taken to UAB Hospital, where he died during surgery early Monday morning.

The BPD alleges Bratton and a close friend were at a food truck parked at a motorcycle club when two male suspects approached Bratton. Moorer and another man allegedly confronted Bratton about owing them money. Bratton walked away and was shot.
