Saturday, 5th Sep 2026 18:15

The Blues’ U18s beat Birmingham City 3-0 at the Midlanders’ Knighthead Training and Academy Grounds this afternoon.

Town went ahead in first-half injury time from the penalty spot. Chris Atherton was fouled by Henry Pearsall and Jayden Adetiba (pictured) found the corner of the net.

Atherton hit the bar from a free-kick soon after the restart and on 53 Roman Burton-Yurevich headed home Adetiba’s cross to make it 2-0.

And in the 61st minute Callum Stewart sealed the victory with a left-footed shot into the bottom right corner.

The Blues, under new lead coach Mark Robinson and assistant Jimmy Smith, have now won three of their first four games this season and sit in fourth in the U18 Premier League South.

Meanwhile, the U18s will play at Walsham le Willows in the first round of the Suffolk Premier Cup on October 13th (KO 7.45pm)
