It’s set to be a busy time on Hollyoaks, with Ste Hay having already vanished without a trace following a trip to a shopping centre. But as the mystery deepens, a new trailer has confirmed that there are four suspects in his disappearance.
The beloved character recently went on a road trip with Mercedes McQueen and Leela Lomax, though they were unaware that Gemma Johnson had ordered some lackeys to follow the trio.

After taking a phone call, Ste mysteriously dropped off the map, with everybody being perplexed by the development. And now, with a brand-new three-minute trailer, we have a taste of what’s to come.
The prime suspect is James Nightingale, who some also believe to be responsible for Rex Gallagher’s murder. The lawyer is adamant that he’s being framed, and he believes he’s on the trail of Ste as he tails a mysterious van.
Sienna Blake is also considered to be a suspect, despite the fact that she’s a close friend of Ste’s. With the schemer recently being released from prison, Mercedes certainly thinks she’s hiding something.
Perhaps the most obvious candidate is Gemma, who was attempting to target Mercedes on the day. With law enforcement closing in on her criminal operation, could Ste have been collateral damage?
Finally, we have Ste’s son Lucas, who recently returned to the village. With the pair previously having a difficult relationship, could the teenager have relapsed and done something far more sinister to his father?
Elsewhere, there’s plenty of drama on the relationship front, with Dodger Savage and Cleo McQueen continuing their affair as Theresa faces heartbreak. Jenson Cole also gets closer to Mercedes, while Gemma and Warren Fox rekindle their romance.
There are also developments in the issue-based storyline involving Dee Dee Hutchinson and Abigail Matthews, with Abigail upping her manipulative tactics. Nancy Osborne seems to be pleased by the teacher’s work, but will her abuse be discovered?

Imran Maalik, meanwhile, continues to be hostile towards Leah Barnes following her affair with Prince McQueen. She attempts to patch things up, but tragedy strikes when she’s hospitalised following a fall.
Finally, there’s much drama for the Keanes, with Jonah continuing to exploit Caleb and his condition. Maddox will also learn that Beth isn’t his mother, but will he discover the truth about Cindy Cunningham and his parentage?
Hollyoaks airs on Mondays-Wednesdays with its Channel 4 streaming premiere at 7am, then an E4 broadcast the same night at 7pm. Full episodes are also released on YouTube a week after their Channel 4 release.
