Cody Gakpo and Alexander Isak up for Premier League Player of the Matchweek

Cody Gakpo and Alexander Isak have both been nominated for Premier League Player of the Matchweek.

The Liverpool duo combined for each of the Reds’ goals in their 2-0 victory at Ipswich Town on Friday evening.

Gakpo twice set up his fellow forward in Suffolk, with Isak scoring twice inside the opening nine minutes to earn Andoni Iraola’s men a win on the road.

The pair are among six players nominated on the shortlist, alongside Gianluigi Donnarumma, Tyrique George, Martin Odegaard and Tyrick Mitchell.
