His Highness The Amir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani received a phone call today from HE Andy Burnham, Prime Minister of the United Kingdom.
During the call, the two sides reviewed the bilateral relations between the two countries and ways to support and strengthen them across various fields. They also exchanged views on a number of regional and international issues, particularly developments concerning the Palestinian cause and efforts aimed at achieving a just and lasting peace based on the two-state solution.
The two sides also discussed the recent escalation in the Strait of Hormuz and its repercussions onthe region and international maritime navigation, stressing the importance of de-escalating tensions and prioritizing dialogue and diplomatic solutions in a manner that contributes to enhancing security and stability in the region.
