Despite its relatively lightweight body, Xiaomi has managed to include a 6,000 mAh battery that can be charged via USB-C at 67 watts or wirelessly at 50 watts. Xiaomi doesn’t skimp on the cameras either, as the Xiaomi 18 Fold features a 200-megapixel f/1.7 main camera with a 1/1.56-inch sensor and a Leica lens, a 50 MP f/2.4 ultra-wide-angle camera, and a 50 MP f/2.8 periscope telephoto camera with 3.5x zoom. The main camera can record 8K video at 24 fps as well as 1,080p slow-motion video at 960 fps. The selfie camera features a 16 MP sensor.
Pricing and availability
The Xiaomi 18 Fold launches in China with 12 GB of RAM and 256 GB of flash storage for ¥10,999 ($1,640), while Xiaomi is pricing the top-of-the-line model with 16 GB of RAM and 1 TB of storage at ¥14,999 ($2,240). Xiaomi has not yet confirmed whether or when the foldable phone will be released in the rest of the world. According to rumors, Xiaomi does not plan a global launch.
