Liverpool are set to be a big player in this summer’s transfer market, with moves already in the pipeline for the Reds.
Jeremie Frimpong is expected to become Liverpool’s first signing, where the transfer could be announced as early as this week, with the Reds also looking to bring in Florian Wirtz in what could be a club-record deal.
With Milos Kerkez also on Liverpool’s radar, this summer has all the makings of being an all-time great for Arne Slot’s side, with the Dutch coach eager to take his team to the next level having won the Premier League title this season.
Yet Liverpool could now spring into action to make another deal for a player who Chelsea are now in talks to sign this summer.

According to CaughtOffside, Liverpool could make their own move to sign Ajax wonderkid Jorrel Hato after Chelsea opened talks to sign the 19-year-old defender, who looks set to leave the Dutch giants this summer.
Hato has been linked with Liverpool in recent weeks with the Netherlands international regarded by many as one of the best prospects in European football, with the versatile defender able to play as a centre-back or as a left-back.
With Liverpool in the market for a young central defender, Hato ticks all the boxes Slot will be looking for in a player that can fill this requirement, especially with Jarell Quansah attracting interest from Premier League and Bundesliga clubs.
And with Chelsea now in talks to sign Hato, this move from the Blues should wake Liverpool up to make their own move for the teenage defender, who could be the dream long-term replacement for Virgil van Dijk as well as a potential world-class squad player in the years to come.
Liverpool can’t allow Chelsea to win the race for Jorrel Hato
Hailed by Jordan Henderson via the Liverpool Echo as a ‘crazy’ talent, it’s easy to see why Chelsea have got the ball rolling already to sign Hato, who has all the makings of one day becoming one of the best defenders in football.
Yet for Liverpool, allowing a talent as good as Hato to join a Premier League rival without putting up a fight will feel like a poor decision from supporters, especially when the Reds themselves need a player like the Ajax wonderkid.
Indeed, Liverpool need to consider making their own move to sign Hato in the coming weeks, and beating Chelsea to the 19-year-old centre-back will feel like a huge win for the Reds and a huge sign of intent.
