Officers are trying to break up a group of protestors trying to cause disruption to traffic in the middle of Glasgow city centre.
They were called out around 4.20pm to Buchanan Street and followed the group towards Charing Cross.
The group was contained and stopped from going on the road and blocking cars
Earlier an account on X called “Scottish Citizens Army” had been threatening to hold up cars on the motorway although any attempts appear to have failed.
Police remain on Buchanan Street and Sauchiehall Street to turn anyone causing problems away.
