Eight men have been arrested following a series of raids across Merseyside and Holland. It comes as part of a joint investigation into an international drug trafficking network.

During the searches in Merseyside, officers recovered electronic devices, cash, and a ‘significant’ quantity of class A drugs.

Last night (May 20), a 47-year-old man from Hungary and a 32-year-old man from Huyton were both arrested on suspicion of conspiracy to supply Class A drugs.

Simultaneously, in the Netherlands, authorities arrested five individuals; two men from the UK, and three men from Holland were arrested on suspicion of drug supply offences.

A 37-year-old man from Vauxhall, Liverpool has been arrested this evening, (Wednesday, May 21) on suspicion of conspiracy to supply Class A drugs, as part of the investigation.

All suspects have been taken to local police stations for questioning.
