Train disruption RECAP as services between London and Manchester cancelled, diverted or delayed

The latest statement from National Rail has pointed to a ‘safetey inspection’ the track between Milton Keynes Central and Rugby for this afternoon’s major disruption.

Commuters have been told to expect delays, cancellations and diversions until at least 5pm.

National Raid says: “A safety inspection of the track between Milton Keynes Central and Rugby means that trains have to run at a reduced speed on some lines.

“As a result, trains running between these stations may be delayed by up to 20 minutes, revised or diverted via Northampton.”
