Higher-speed internet is coming soon to Troy Grove.
Surf Internet is breaking ground Friday on a new fiber-optic network in the village made famous by “Wild” Bill Hickok. Nearly 150 locations in Troy Grove will benefit from the high-speed internet including homes, businesses, municipal buildings, and apartments. Construction on the fiber-optic network is expected to be completed later this summer.
The internet project is funded through a public-private partnership including Surf Internet, Village of Troy Grove, La Salle County, and the State of Illinois.
