INJURED No.1 Jack Holder is backing his Sheffield team-mates to ‘make it happen’ as they chase Grand Final glory – starting with their home leg against Belle Vue at Owlerton this Thursday (October 8, 7.30pm).
The Tigers have progressed through from the semi-finals for the first time since 2023 – the year they won their maiden Premiership title.
They will take on their Roses rivals from Manchester who finished the campaign as regular table toppers.
And Holder, who has been out of action since June, but on Tuesday received a Wild Card spot for the 2027 Grand Prix series, has faith the Tigers can build up an advantage to take to the National Speedway Stadium for the decider on Monday (October 12, 7.30pm).
Said Holder: “The War of the Roses throughout the whole year is always something different – but we’re into the Final now.
“Anything can happen now; it all comes down to 30, maybe even 31, heats.
“I think we need a big performance at home, which the boys have shown they’re capable of doing.
“I want to say congratulations to all the boys in the Sheffield team, I wish I could’ve played a bigger part in helping get us here, but they’ve got two meetings now to go and make it happen.”
An exclusive interview can be read with Jack Holder in Thursday’s Grand Final edition of ‘Tiger Talk’.
Racenight+ tickets are now on sale for the home leg and include admission, 1x Official Racenight Programme, Centre Green viewing of Heats 8-11, plus a signed photograph selected at random upon entry.
They will remain on sale until 12 noon on the day of the fixture via http://www.sheffield-speedway.com/ticketoffice.
Supporters should note that Tigers Ten Tickets are NOT valid for play-off fixtures and that standard admission tickets can be purchased by cash or card at the turnstiles on racenight only.
