The live show celebrates a decade of Blackburn presenting BBC Radio 2’s Sounds of the 60s, bringing the spirit of the programme to the stage with performances from the Sounds of the 60s All-Star Band and singers.

Audiences can expect live renditions and medleys of classics by artists including Diana Ross and The Supremes, The Beatles and The Rolling Stones.

The 2027 dates will also mark a major milestone in Blackburn’s broadcasting career. He made history in 1967 as the first voice on BBC Radio 1 and presented the station’s original Breakfast Show.

The new dates follow a run of sell-out performances across 26 venues in 2026, where Blackburn shared music and stories from the 1960s with audiences around the country.

Blackburn has spent more than six decades in broadcasting and remains a prominent champion of soul music. Alongside Sounds of the Sixties on BBC Radio 2, he presents Tony Blackburn’s Golden Hour and Sounds of Soul on BBC Sounds.

Tickets for the Glasgow performance will be available through Ticketmaster and the venue’s pre-sale from 10am on Thursday, October 15. General sale begins at 10am on Friday, October 16.
