A Birmingham pub has installed a new artwork in its urinal and is inviting customers to wee on all of the names etched on to it.

The Anchor on Bradford Street in Digbeth has installed the new toilet feature designed by Birmingham artist Foka Wolf.

Foka Wolf said that the unique urinal features the names of “the top 100 CEOs of weapons and defence companies around the world” along with a cutting phrase.

It reads: “May the cowards who profit off misery, genocide and murder rest in p*** for all eternity”.

Foka Wolf added that the epitaph will stay in place permanently.

The creator, known for their subversive street signs, has seen their work go viral a number of times.

The urinal is an ‘interactive’ installation and sits across the back wall of the urinal.

Foka Wolf told BirminghamLive: “I’ve had the idea to create an epitaph that you p*** up for a long time.

“It’s one of those ideas that I keep to myself for my own amusement. Then with all of the complete darkness that’s going on at the moment (weapons companies testing out new tech and using up out of date explosives on civilians) I thought ‘hey, perfect’, the military industrial complex.

“It fits perfectly as they are an easy target.

“Usually epitaphs are used to remember the war dead, but now we’re remembering the people that put them there and profit from it.

“P***ing on an epitaph is morally wrong, but in comparison to what these rats are doing it’s nothing.”

Asked why they chose The Anchor for the installation, the artist said: “I picked The Anchor as its the best pub in Birmingham.

“It has a great community of artists that frequent it.”

Julian Rose-Gibbs, who runs The Anchor, said: “We’re big fans of Foka Wolf we have a number of art installations around the venue and fully support the movement.

“As for his latest piece – anyone who profits from death deserves to rest in p***.”

Anyone who wishes to engage in the interactive artwork is invited to visit The Anchor at 308 Bradford Street, B5 6ET.
