Prince Harry and Meghan Markle have established a new life in Montecito, California, having left the royal family five years ago.

The couple live in America with their two children, six-year-old Prince Archie and three-year-old Princess Lilibet.

Despite coming from different backgrounds – Harry being a working royal and Meghan an American actress – their relationship has flourished. Harry, 40, proposed to Meghan, 43, less than two years after their first meeting.

They share many common interests, including a commitment to philanthropy. However, Harry’s seven-word confession in his memoir Spare reveals his belief that their pre-relationship lives were not so different.

In his explosive 2023 memoir, he penned, “Being royal, it turned out, wasn’t all that far from being onstage. Acting was acting, no matter the context.”

Although she hasn’t resumed acting, she has made several appearances in front of the camera over the past five years, including in the 2022 Netflix docuseries Harry & Meghan.

This year, the mother-of-two also starred in her own cooking show With Love, Meghan, which has already been greenlit for a second season.

However, despite Meghan’s ease in front of the camera, she confessed in a 2022 interview that her acting career was a thing of the past.

In a conversation with Vanity Fair, when asked if she would return to acting, the Duchess of Sussex responded, “No. I’m done. I guess never say never, but my intention is to absolutely not.”
