Bank holiday weekend is almost upon us and Boden has marked the occasion by releasing a massive discount code that sees everything site-wide slashed by 25%. The online voucher, 7N7G, is applicable on dresses, jumpers, tops, trousers and footwear including the Laceless Canvas Plimsolls.
Typically £42, the Laceless Canvas Plimsolls are now available for £31.50, offering a saving of £11.50. Plus, they resemble a pair loved by the Princess of Wales.
While not 100% identical, the Boden plimsolls look a lot like the Superga 2630 COTU trainers, which Kate Middleton has been spotted wearing. Luckily, the Superga pair are currently on sale too, now £21 instead of £70.

The crisp white plimsolls are available in a selection of sizes from EU 36 (UK 3.5) to EU 42 (UK 8), as well as in navy and a mix of postbox red and pink. Crafted from a cotton canvas with a rubber sole, the plimsolls are perfect for styling with dresses, shorts, trousers or even jeans.
On an outing in a London park back in 2020, Princess Kate donned her white trainers with a white Ralph Lauren blouse and a pair of dusty rose trousers from Marks and Spencer. Online orders are still paused at M&S but Roman offers a similar pair, the Rose Cotton Blend Washed Chino Trousers for £21.60 down from £24 with the discount code SHINE applied at checkout.
The £31.50 plimsolls have a clever laceless design but if you did want a more traditional pair of trainers, White Stuff’s Pippa Canvas Lace Up Trainers might be a better bet. available in sizes three to eight, the trainers come in five other colours and are made from a cotton canvas with a rubber sole, like the Boden pair.

Boden’s Laceless Canvas Plimsolls have racked up a near-perfect overall star-rating of 4.8 out of five based on over two dozen reviews. One satisfied shopper said: “Amazing, very comfy and fit on the foot like a slipper. Simple, sporty yet elegantly casual. Highly recommend.”
A second wrote: “I had a pair of shoes like this some years back, which were loved to extinction. Have been looking for a replacement ever since, so thrilled Boden has provided them. Please do more colours – they are a great summer alternative.”
“More colours please,” somebody else said. “I just cannot do trainers with dresses and skirts. It’s just not for me. However these little slip ones are perfect and look so much prettier with the aforementioned. please can we have other colours as another reviewer suggested. My usual size 40 was a good comfy fit even though I have wide feet.”

One shopper, however, said the Laceless Canvas Plimsolls weren’t ‘for them’ and gave the trainers a three-star review. It reads: “These shoes looked cute online and they were a great price so I ordered them in my usual size. When they arrived they were too long and not structured at all. The soles were not substantial and I could feel the ground through the shoe. I ended up returning them.”
But another loved their latest Boden purchase, adding: “Love these. Recently bought for a few days away where I knew there’d be lots of walking about. Incredibly comfy for brand new shoes, easy to pull on and looked great too, they go with pretty much anything. I have some footsie socks which they worked really well with.”
