A PATIENT has been rushed to hospital after a horror crash.

Cops as well as ambulance and fire crews attended the collision in Glasgow‘s Bath Street just after 3.30pm.

One patient was transported to Glasgow Royal Infirmary as a result of the carnage.

A spokesperson for the Scottish Ambulance Service revealed details of the crash to the Glasgow Times.

They said: “We received a call at 3.32pm to attend a road traffic collision on Bath Street, Glasgow.

“Three ambulances and a critical care paramedic were dispatched to the scene, and one patient was transported to Glasgow Royal Infirmary.”

Reports cite eyewitness saying there were lots of police.

One said:

“I saw someone getting taken into an ambulance. I hope all is okay.”

Another added: “There was loads of police, fire, and paramedics. 

“They swarmed the area like no one’s business. The crash appears to have involved two motors.” 

In an update at 4.20pm, Glasgow City Council said Bath Street had fully reopened to traffic.

The condition of those involved in the crash is unknown. 

Drivers were initially being urged to ‘avoid the area’.

Firefighters and cops taped off the street, while an officer was seen directing traffic off Bath Street at its junction with Douglas Street.

The area at the centre of the emergency scene is subject to roadworks.
