Emmerdale spoilers follow.
Emmerdale has revealed an ominous first look at John Sugden and Aaron Dingle’s wedding week.
Back in February, the soap confirmed that it was Nate Robinson’s body that was seen at the bottom of a local lake following the dramatic double limo crash.
A flashback episode last month revealed that it was John who had accidentally killed Nate and dumped his body in the lake.
In today’s episode, John, who is set to marry Aaron next week, found out that the lake is due to be dredged following the contaminated water scandal.

In a first-look preview clip of next week’s episode, a nervous John is seen getting ready for the wedding when Victoria approaches him.
“Just thinking about the wedding,” he says to Victoria. “How lucky I am. Marrying my soulmate means everything knowing that he will always be by my side.
“Wherever life takes us, this is just the start. Our very own happy ever after and I will not let anything spoil it.”
At the end of John’s emotional speech, workers can be seen dredging the lake where Nate’s body resides while Moira watches on.
In next week’s scenes, it’s John and Aaron’s wedding day and John is tormented by nightmares of being arrested for Nate’s murder as he and Victoria prepare for the wedding.

Moira anxiously watches while workers dredge the lake and, when Cain reveals the dredging has begun, a panicked John starts packing to flee.
Aaron catches him mid-escape but John reassures him that he’s just having pre-wedding jitters. As soon as Aaron leaves the room, John continues packing his bags and drives away from the village.
While John is hiding near the lake, he receives a loving text from Aaron and, upon seeing the workers down tools and learning the dredging has been cancelled, confirms he’ll proceed with the wedding.
Is this really the end of the Nate situation, or will John be found out?
Emmerdale airs on weeknights at 7.30pm on ITV1, and streams on ITVX.
