Officers fear a missing teenage boy may be hundreds of miles from his home near Stockport.

Cheshire Police says Joshua Myers was last seen on Thursday evening (May 22).

The 16-year-old from Handforth, between Cheadle and Wilmslow, is known to have links to Manchester city centre.

But police believe he may have travelled more than 200 miles by train to the Devon and Cornwall area.

Joshua was last seen on Delamere Road, in Handforth, at around 7.30pm on Thursday.

He is described as being white, around 5ft 7ins tall and of slim build, with light brown hair and blue eyes.

At the time of his disappearance, he was believed to be wearing black shorts and trainers, and a black hooded jacket.

Duty Inspector Ash Sayer, of Cheshire Police, said: “We have been conducting enquiries to locate Joshua since he was reported missing, and we are becoming increasingly concerned for his welfare.
