Edinburgh drivers using the A720 on Sunday have been warned of delays.
Traffic could be seen building on the Edinburgh Bypass from around 1pm, with delays of up to 30 minutes. Motorists have been warned of a ‘high volume’ at the Gilmerton Junction westbound.
Lane restrictions are also in place between the Baberton and Dreghorn Junctions.

Traffic Scotland said: “The A720 westbound from Gilmerton Junction currently has high volumes of traffic and travel systems indicate 27 minutes delays.

“Road users are advised to use caution on approach.”
On Twitter, they added: “Long queues on the A720 this afternoon, especially heading west.

“There doesn’t seem to be any particular reason for it other than volume of traffic. Both the M8 and the M9/A8 around Newbridge also slow.”
Elsewhere in the city, road users have been advise to use caution when crossing the Forth Road Bridge amid high winds.
