A family adventure park near Bristol has suffered a power outage following an earlier power cut that affected almost 450 Bristol properties.

The incident was reported to National Grid shortly after 11.15am this morning (May 25), with a total of 445 properties in the Almondsbury area left without power in the BS32 and BS35 postcode zones.

The earlier incident appears to have been resolved early on Sunday afternoon – however, Avon Valley Adventure Park in Keynsham has since shared on Facebook that it is suffering its own power outage, with National Grid called to the site.

Posting at 1.30pm on Sunday, the family venue wrote: “We’re experiencing an unexpected power issue at Avon Valley Adventure Park today. Our team is working diligently to maintain as many shows and activities as possible despite these limitations.

“National Grid has been contacted and will be on-site at 2:00 PM to investigate. This situation is unfortunately beyond our control. Our team is focused on ensuring everyone still has an enjoyable visit.”

The post went on to offer visitors a free return visit to the park by way of compensation, continuing: “As a thank you for your patience and understanding, all guests visiting today will automatically receive a FREE RETURN VISIT that can be used anytime during the remainder of May half term.

“A voucher will be emailed automatically to the email address used for your original booking – no action required on your part.

“We sincerely apologise for any inconvenience, and want to assure you we’re doing everything possible to keep the park fun and enjoyable despite these challenges. If you have any questions, please don’t hesitate to speak with any of our team members on-site. Thank you for your understanding.”
