Another day, another striker gets linked with a move to Leeds United. The Whites are expected to bring in a striker or two this summer, with two of Daniel Farke’s three options potentially leaving.
Joel Piroe will surely remain. But Patrick Bamford is in the final year of his contract and Graham Smyth expects the one-time England man to depart, even if Humphrey Ker ruled out a move to Wrexham.
Real Betis are expected to make a move for Mateo Joseph after the Conference League final against Chelsea. Marc Roca and Diego Llorente’s side had a bid rejected for Joseph in the January window.
Leeds then, are expected to move for a new striker. Just in the last few days, Leeds have been told Troy Parrott will cost £25m while Union Saint-Gilloise striker Promise David has been added to the shortlist.

Kasper Dolberg is the latest striker to be linked with Leeds. The Denmark international has been in good form for Anderlecht this season, scoring an impressive 24 goals in 44 appearances over in Belgium.
Coming through at Ajax, Dolberg earned rave reviews for his potential. Even Lionel Messi was one to praise the Denmark star, but after failed spells at Sevilla and Hoffenheim, he has failed to prove himself.
At Anderlecht, he’s managed to do that in the last two seasons – scoring 39 goals in total. Another to predict a big future for Dolberg was Jurgen Klopp, who is now in control of Red Bull’s football operations.
In 2017, Klopp told newspaper Ekstra Bladet: “Who doesn’t know Kasper Dolberg? You can’t play at Ajax without being noticed. Kasper Dolberg has a very great future. He is a fantastic player.”

Dolberg v Piroe in 2024-25:
But his 24 goals – which could be more after Sunday’s final round of fixtures – will have caught the eye across Europe, not least because it comes from a player where so much has been expected over the years.
The reports linking Leeds with a move for the 54-time Denmark star say that Leeds will need to part with a £12.5m fee. Whether he can do it one of Europe’s top-five leagues remains to be seen, having failed.
