Samsung in expected to launch the Galaxy Watch 8 smartwatch across global markets very soon. The launch is expected to happen in July 2025 and that too alongside Galaxy Z Fold7 and Z Flip7. According to report by GSMArena, the Samsung Galaxy Watch 8 will be using Exynos W1000 chip that was offered last year in the Watch 7.

The Exynos W1000 chip gets a penta-core CPU setup and this consists of four ARM Cortex-A55 cores that are clocked up to 1.5GHz and a Cortex-A78 that goes up to 1.6 GHz. Other specs include LPDDR5 RAM and Mali-G68 MP2 GPU. Exynos W1000 chip uses a 3nm GAA process.

The Galaxy Watch8 series is expected to offer a classic model in the series. The Watch8 smartwatch model is expected to offer a squircle case design and the latest leaks (renders) have hinted that. Both the vanilla Watch8 as well as Watch8 Classic will have similar squircle case.

Expected specifications of the Watch8 Classic include 46/47mm size along with 1.5” diagonal screen. The battery of the device is expected to be 450 mAh and the OS is expected to be Wear OS 6. The UI onboard is expected to be One UI 8 Watch.
