A major police operation was underway following a triple stabbing in Salford that left one man critically injured. The violent altercation, which occurred at 2:30am today (Monday, May 26) resulted in three men being hospitalised with stab wounds.
One of the individuals is in a critical state at Salford Royal Hospital, while the other two have since been released and taken into police custody. Greater Manchester Police issued a statement confirming the incident: “Officers responded to reports of people fighting with knives on Cobden Street in Salford at 2:45am this morning (Monday, May 26, 2025). Two men were taken to hospital with stab wounds.
“One male suffered a minor injury, but the other male suffered a serious injury and is in a critical condition. Three men – aged 27, 31, 33 – have been arrested on suspicion of violent disorder.
“They remain in police custody. A scene remains in place while officers conduct their enquiries. This is an isolated incident with no wider threat to the community,” reports the Express.
