Shockwaves have rippled through the music world with the stunning revelation that Freddie Mercury secretly fathered a child. The biographer who broke the news that the singer had a secret daughter has spoken out in a fascinating update as to the results of a DNA test to prove whether the singer is related. The Queen legend’s daughter, who is has been hidden from the public for 48 years, has done a DNA test to prove she is the rock star’s off-spring. Biographer Lesley-Ann Jones confirmed the bombshell, asserting “requisite verification was obtained” amidst fan scepticism about the claim’s authenticity.

Jones commented: “To those ‘demanding’ to see proof of a DNA test, otherwise they won’t believe it – please rest assured that the requisite verification was obtained, legal teams have been involved, but that such measures are private and not shared publicly.” She robustly defended the veracity of newly discovered diaries believed to be Freddie’s against detractors. Jones added on Twitter, now X: “To those insisting Freddie Mercury’s diaries were faked with AI, that his daughter ‘doesn’t exist’ and that I’ve made the whole thing up: wait and see. His true story, told in his own words, is incredible. I love him all the more for it. You will too,” reports the Mirror.

In her explosive new book “Love,” Jones shares that Mercury, who openly identified as bisexual, unexpectedly became a father following a brief affair with a friend’s wife.

Extremely few, including his close family, Queen bandmates, and former partner Mary Austin, were aware of his daughter, who was kept out of the public eye.

Now a 48 year old living in Europe, the daughter and mother herself has come forward, affirming she always knew Mercury, born Farrokh Bulsara, was her dad.

She received from him, before his death in 1991 from AIDS, a collection of his private journals spanning 17 volumes.

It was her initiative to reach out to Jones to share this astonishing piece of her, and Freddie’s, life story.

Slated for a September release, the explosive new book reveals a handwritten letter from a woman known as B: “Freddie Mercury was and is my father. We had a very close and loving relationship from the moment I was born and throughout the final 15 years of his life.

“He adored me and was devoted to me. The circumstances of my birth may seem, by most people’s standards, unusual and even outrageous. That should come as no surprise. It never detracted from his commitment to love and look after me.

“Those who have been aware of my existence kept his greatest secret out of loyalty to Freddie.”

Jones, the biographer, notes that the ‘Bohemian Rhapsody’ singer even had a dedicated room at their family home to maximise his time with her.

Despite Freddie’s hectic life as the frontman of Queen, travelling the world and crafting hits in the studio, he never failed to ring her daily.
