A street fight in Bristol city centre may have left a young man injured and in need of medical help.

At around 11pm yesterday, Monday, May 26, officers were called to Charles Street, near the Bristol Royal Infirmary and the Bearpit.

Police were responding to a third-party report of a disturbance in the road involving two men.

The caller said one of the men seemed to have been hurt and may need medical assistance.

When Avon and Somerset Police arrived, the two men had left the scene.

Police searched the surrounding streets but found no sign of either of the two men.

Officers are keen to check on the safety and welfare of the person who may be injured.

Despite checking the local hospitals, the police have been unable to identify the person.

He is described as being in his 20s and between 5ft 8ins and 5ft 10ins tall.

He was wearing a hat, baggy trousers and a coat described as “huge”.
