A popular Bristol bar near the city centre is up for let. The listing for No. 51 Stokes Croft describes it as a unique property on a ‘prime pitch’ – and taking it on has been described as an “exceptional opportunity”.

The bar claims to have given partygoers an “authentic Stokes Croft experience” under the current management, but is now looking for someone new to take the venue on.

The website for No. 51 Stokes Croft describes the current venue: “Every weekend 9pm – 3am we’ve got DJs from Bristol and beyond serving up everything from hip-hop and funk, to disco and dirty beats.

“Grab a spot in the garden and work your way through the cocktail list, or cosy up in our dimly-lit, shabby-chic interiors before letting loose on the dance floor. Best described as an authentic Stokes Croft experience – it’s a good time guaranteed!”

No. 51 Stokes Croft is still trading as normal and hosting some of Bristol’s “best DJs” over the next few months. The lease is however up for rent at an annual rate of £35,000 per year.

The property is advertised on the Bristol-based independent commercial property agents, Burston Cook’s, website. It is described as being an “exceptional” opportunity with late night licensing.

The Burston Cook listing reads: “The property is situated in the centre of Bristol’s cultural and artistic hub, Stokes Croft. Network connections are excellent, being located on an arterial route in the heart of Bristol, providing access to the A4032 and, in turn, the M32, and linking the city centre with the affluent suburbs of Cotham, Redland and Bishopston.

“Offering an exceptional opportunity to take on an established premises, the property has an open plan bar area on the ground floor with ancillary parts and W.C’s. There is a small low level extraction unit to the front of the premises. A staircase to the rear of the unit leads to the basement which offers further ample storage space, and a tap room.”

The venue which “serves great cocktails” has hundreds of positive Google reviews from those that have been for a Friday or Saturday night out. One said “great atmosphere, great value for money. I had a great time!”
