An MLA has queried whether the DUP is manufacturing “another crocodile moment” after the unionist party toughened its stance against Irish language signs in Belfast’s Grand Central Station.
The SDLP’s Sinead McLaughlin was referring to a controversial statement by Arlene Foster in 2017, after DUP deputy First Minister Emma Little-Pengelly said yesterday that questions about the decision to install the signs are legitimate.
