A second teenager has been arrested on suspicion of attempted murder after a boy was stabbed in Bristol yesterday evening.
The 15-year-old remains in hospital after he was attacked in the underpass between The Mall and The Venue, at Cribbs Causeway, at around 5.40pm on Monday, May 26.
Members of the public gave the boy first aid at the scene and he remains in a stable condition in hospital.
Avon and Somerset Police said a 16-year-old boy was arrested nearby following the incident.
He was arrested on suspicion of attempted murder and possessing a bladed article.
He remains in police custody today, Tuesday, May 27.
A second boy, also 16, has also been arrested on suspicion of attempted murder after taking himself to the police station.
He also remains in custody.
Avon and Somerset Police say officers have recovered a weapon.
Officers will be carrying out reassurance patrols in the area around Cribbs Causeway, though the force say there is not believed to be any wider risk to the public.
Avon and Somerset Police said: “The injured person and the suspect were part of a larger group of young people who ran from the scene.
“We’re keen to identify any of those individuals, described as being in their mid-teens and mostly wearing black.
“We’d also like to hear from anyone who saw what happened or who has any dashcam or other footage which could help the investigation.
