Two South Wales Police officers have been found to have no case to answer after a complaint about them was investigated by an external police force.

The force has confirmed that a complaint against the two serving South Wales Police officers has been investigated and that the probe concluded last month.

The complaint was initially referred to the Independent Office For Police Conduct by South Wales Police. However, the IOPC “returned” the matter to the south Wales force for it to be investigated locally.

South Wales Police said that, to make sure the allegations, the nature of which have not been disclosed, were investigated independently, they were looked into by an external force.

As part of their investigation, they found that there was insufficient evidence to support the allegations.

South Wales Police said that, from the information available to them, these investigators concluded that the officers had “no case to answer in respect of misconduct.”

As a result, the criminal and misconduct investigations against the officers have now been concluded and both of the officers will not be facing any further action.

A statement from South Wales Police read: “A complaint against two serving South Wales Police officers was initially referred to the Independent Office for Police Conduct.

“This was returned to the force for local investigation.

“To ensure the matter received independent attention, the allegations were investigated by an outside force and that investigation was concluded in April, 2025.

“Those independent investigators concluded that there was insufficient evidence to support the allegations and based on the information available to them, determined that the officers had no case to answer in respect of misconduct.

“Therefore, the criminal and misconduct investigations have now concluded and neither officer will face any further action.”
